Air Source Heat Pump

Your heating and hot water is provided by an air source heat pump. This can usually be found in the garden at the side or back of your home.

Boiler, Heating & Hot Water

Hot water is supplied on demand, and you can change the temperature of your heating by using the thermostatic control.

BT Connections

There is an Openreach box outside your home, usually at the front of the property. This supplies broadband internet to your home.

Consumer Unit / Fuse Box

You can find out which appliance is faulty by checking the fuse box. This will be in a downstairs cupboard, usually by the front door or stairs.

Electric storage radiator

Your home will have electric storage radiators installed in the living room, hall and bedrooms.

EnviroVent Fans

To help prevent the build-up of mould and damp in your home, your kitchen and bathroom or wet room is fitted with an EnviroVent fan.

Hot Water Cylinder

Hot Water Cylinder

Your home’s hot water cylinder holds enough heated water for two full baths or several showers.

Meter Box

You’ll find the gas and electric meter box outside of your home, either by the front door or at the side of the property.

MVHR Unit

MVHR Unit

A MVHR unit is fitted in your home, usually in a cupboard or attic. It is always on, running quietly in the background.

Smoke & Heat Detectors

Inside your home you will find two smoke alarms, one in the hallway and one on the landing. Smoke alarms are for your safety.

Solar Panels

Your home is fitted with photovoltaic panels, more commonly known as solar panels. They work by generating energy from daylight into electricity.

Stop Tap / Sure Stop

If you have a leak in your home you can easily cut the water supply using either a stop tap or a Sure Stop switch.
