Kite-making in St Clears

Half-term fun for families in St Clears

Half-term kite-making fun came to families in St Clears with the first in a series of outdoor play sessions.

Using paper and wooden dowels, young residents at Maes Yr Hufenfa had great fun building their kites, then flying them around.

The sessions were organised by WWH staff and Carmarthenshire Council’s Multiply numeracy project.

Throughout the summer more play sessions are planned.

WWH Community Development Officer, Rhiannon Ling, said: “These sessions are always fun. It provides an opportunity for staff to engage with residents whilst children and families enjoy the free activities.

“It’s a new scheme, so events like these are good for residents to get to know each other.”
