West Wales: New Fishguard homes are taking shape
Work is well underway to bring 50 new homes for social rent to Fishguard.
The field at Maesgwynne was once the site of a Second World War army barracks.
Our contractors Jones Brothers (Henllan) Ltd are making good progress on site at Parc Y Chwarel and have started installing timber frames for the homes.
By the time work is finished around the summer 2026 there will be a mix of 1-bed apartments and bungalows and 2, 3 and 4 bed houses ready for residents to move in.
Maesgwynne is one of four sites we are currently working on in Pembrokeshire which will provide 99 new homes for local people across the county.
The others are at Eglwyswrw, Dinas Cross and the former Ship and Anchor Inn Fishguard.
When they’re ready the homes at Parc Y Chwarel will be allocated to residents who register with Pembrokeshire County Council’s Choice Homes.
