Every year residents from housing associations across Wales gather to share and celebrate the good work in their communities.

The National TPAS Cymru Good Practice Awards is an annual event which shines the spotlight on some of the new and innovative ways residents are working to support one another in their communities.

Those projects focus on wellbeing support, running community activities such as environmental or gardening projects. Other awards recognise the ways residents are working with their landlords to shape services.

A group of WWH residents who belong to the Blitz Art Group at Sylvester Court, Wrexham, were in the finals this year for the way they are helping to combat loneliness and isolation in their community at their weekly art sessions. The group came second in the Communities Supporting Communities category at the TPAS Good Practice Awards 2024.

This year’s awards, which we sponsored once again, took place on July 3 at the Leonardo Hotel, Cardiff following the Creating Great Communities Conference.
