Best Companies 2022 (Q1): Top housing association in Wales and ‘world class company to work for’ rating
The Wales & West Housing Group is among the top five companies to work for in Wales and world class when it comes to employee engagement.
Best Companies has awarded the Group with its highest three-star rating following a survey which asked staff to give feedback on aspects of their workplace, including wellbeing, teamwork, pay and benefits, leadership and personal growth.
As well as the top ranking in Wales – across all companies and categories – the Group was ranked as the third best housing organisation to work for in the UK and in the top 25 best large organisations to work for in the UK (200-1999 employees).
All three Group companies are now able to display the Best Companies accreditation logo as a mark of the achievement and levels of engagement in the company. This includes Wales & West Housing, Cambria Maintenance Services and Castell Ventures.
Anne Hinchey, Wales & West Housing Group Chief Executive, said: “This is a fantastic achievement, especially given the unprecedented challenges of the last few years. Results of the survey revealed that:
- Over four out of five employees (88%) agreed that the organisation encourages charitable activities
- Almost ¾ of employees said the experience they gained from their job was valuable for their future
- 81% said their manager talks openly and honestly with them
