About this development
We are working to redevelop the former Cardigan Hospital site at the gateway to the town to bring eco-friendly homes and new offices to the area.
The historic Priory House is being kept as the focal point of the new development of 20 eco-friendly, energy-efficient apartments for affordable rent for local people. The redevelopment will also create a community café in the Priory House and public gardens and walkways in the grounds alongside office space for our staff including a regional base for our in-house maintenance company Cambria Maintenance Services.
Ground work on the site started in 2021 and construction will start on a future date.
The ancient town of Cardigan sits on the estuary of the River Teifi. At the gateway to the Teifi Valley and the Ceredigion and Pembrokeshire Coastal Paths, it is a popular place for tourists.
The site close to the town centre, where there are a variety of local services including a good selection of shops including the Grade II listed Guildhall Market, sports facilities and places of worship including the neighbouring St Mary’s Church.
Cardigan is also home to one of Wales’ best wetland wildlife areas at the Teifi Marshes.

For any further queries regarding the scheme please email development.queries@wwha.co.uk
When completed these properties will be allocated via the Ceredigion County Council housing register. They will be rented through Ceredigion County Council’s housing register to predominantly older local people and those who could benefit from easy access and supportive homes.
